| Local Gas Station Charging Over $4 Per Gallon Near OIA
ORLANDO, Fla. -- There was a break for the holidays, but gas prices are ready to rise again. One local gas station, though, is already charging customers much more than others. RAW INTERVIEW: Manager Defends $4.49 Per Gallon Customers at the independent gas station near the Orlando International Airport are paying $4.49 a gallon. Some of the customers don't know the price they're paying until it's too late. There are no large signs showing the prices at the station. Most customers are tourists returning rental cars before catching flights at Orlando International Airport. Not all believe it's an honorable way to conduct business. "It's not fair. It's definitely price gouging during the holiday season," said tourist Les Lazarus. Even at $4.49 a gallon for regular, most of the pumps were busy at Suncoast Energys on Friday morning.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Sept. 27 -- Many rental car customers traveling on Florida's toll roads and bridges are now able to utilize 'SunPass Only' lanes to pay their tolls, even without a SunPass transponder, thanks to a pair of innovative programs announced by Turnpike officials this week. Rental car customers in Central Florida also can use the EPass lanes on toll roads operated by the Orlando- Orange County Expressway Authority (OOCEA), and will soon be able to use the LeeWay toll lanes in Lee County. Florida's Turnpike Enterprise has entered into contractual agreements with American Traffic Solutions and Rent A Toll, Ltd. to administer a program which utilizes license plate information to identify rental vehicles and electronically collect the toll. American Traffic Solutions is currently offering its PlatePass(R) cashless toll payment service to rental car customers using vehicles rented from Avis, Budget, and Hertz.
Recap of Saturday, February 23
Health care is really tough at this point. All you have to do is look at all the other countries that have it. We hear in "SiCKO" how great these other countries are, but we don't hear that the people make significantly less than we do, they're taxed significantly more than we are, and a lot of people die on the waiting list for free services. We don't want that here. Neil Cavuto: Ben Stein, what do you think? Ben Stein: I think the Oscars will have nothing to do with the health care debate, but we cannot afford universal health care at this point unless we're going to have a major tax increase on the wealthy. I think that's coming down the pike anyway. This country is tapped out for the middle class. No more taxes on them, period. That's done. It's going to be all people like you, Mr.

Man set fire to stepson's bed
A stepfather, unhappy about the attention his wife was paying to her intellectually disabled son, set fire to the youth's bedroom, causing $26,000 damage. In the Christchurch District Court yesterday, Graeme Noel Cook, 44, of Rangiora, was jailed for 18 months after earlier pleading guilty to two charges of arson. His wife, Sharon Thompson-Cook, told the court how difficult it had been coping with the aftermath of the fire just before Christmas. The family had to move into rental accommodation and she still did not know whether the insurance company would pay for the damage to the house. Her first husband, Malcolm Thompson, then read a victim impact statement for their son, Tim, 19, who has an intellectual age of nine or 10. All the boy's possessions were lost in the fire on December 19.
Delta canal alive again?
This executive order is a presumption of a direction without any determination that it is the right direction to go. "It could be a disaster for San Joaquin County." No argument from Dante Nomellini, a Stockton attorney who represents central Delta farmers. Nomellini said Monday he's heard whisperings about an impending executive order. "We'll have to see what it says," he said. He calls the governor's entire Delta Vision process a "sham," saying that state officials have long known they wanted to build a canal. South Delta farmer and engineer Alex Hildebrand also is closely following developments. "They seem to want to get the thing financed and committed before analyzing the consequences," Hildebrand said. "If they're bull-headedly going to go ahead with the plan to build the canal, then we've lost." Schwarzenegger's proposed state budget includes $1.4 million to begin the environmental analysis needed to determine whether to build a peripheral canal.
Traveler Alert: New Rules for Paying
Not too long ago, charging your way through a vacation abroad was the way to go. That's because credit cards have more favorable exchange rates and fees than banks and exchange bureaus. But new markups have made the charge-it strategy trickier. Many credit-card issuers have tripled the charges for foreign billings. They've been quietly adding new fees for the past few years--so quietly that consumers have sued Visa, MasterCard, and American Express, saying the markups were not properly disclosed. (Card issuers are now starting to break out the extra charges on statements.) .
Corridor Provides Update on Operations at Mccully
The well will be fractured in these intervals during the upcoming frac program planned for this summer and will be placed on production this fall. The McCully E-67 well is drilling ahead (Nabors Rig #58) at a depth of 3850 meters in the Frederick Brook shale formation. The well has encountered significant shows of natural gas in the Frederick Brook shale formation and is attempting to reach and penetrate the underlying Dawson Settlement formation. It has been necessary to flare substantial volumes of natural gas during tripping operations. The E-67 well is now the deepest drilled to date in New Brunswick and is expected to reach total depth in late March. The well is being drilled utilizing 10,000 psi blow-out preventers (BOPs) to ensure safe handling of the high pressures encountered in the lower Frederick Brook formation.
